How is school influencing your life at or up to this point?
Wow, this is an interesting question. Here's my story:
I married a soldier. Actually, to be honest, when I finished high school, I wasn't sure I wanted to go to college. YEAH RIGHT! After marrying my husband, he went to Iraq about 6 months later. I was pregnant with my daughter at the time. From that point, my ideas changed. As soon as she was born, 3 months later, I started Massage Therapy school. I wanted to be better. Not for me, but for her. I wanted to give her everything I could. When she came to me and asked for something she needed, I wanted to be able to give it to her. How could I do this without going to college? I couldn't. After I was almost done, I saw a sign for Kaplan University. (I was attending Kaplan College at the time, that's where I saw it.) I enrolled. Now here I am. On April 13 I am actually switching to Ashford University, because they have a degree I want to switch to, one that Kaplan does not. How has it changed my life? I know that when I am done I can support my daughter. I can support her all by myself also, in case something happens to my husband. I am prepared!

Good for you! Isn't it great how education works. Go for one thing, change your mind and then change your mind again. Never a wrong answer, just the scenic route! Your daughter will be so proud of you someday when she understands all that you did for her. Good luck in all your educational endeavors.
